Meet The Team
Five people with a combined seven decades of credentialed golf experience. A PGA Class A founder. A Stanford biomechanics PhD. A Ryder Cup staff professional. A TPI master fitter. And the editor who keeps them all honest.
Trust starts with names. Every article on golfingforeall.com is written by a real person whose credentials you can look up. This is the core team — plus a hub of contributing writers, instructors, and fitters across the US, UK, and APAC.
Editor-in-Chief
Jason runs the editorial stack day-to-day — commissioning, editing, and sign-off on every major piece. Fifteen years in specialist publishing across sport and tech; the last four running Golfing For All’s editorial operation. He sets the standards that everything else on this site is measured against.
Founder
James started this site from a spare bedroom in 2016, a year after his last competitive season on the Korn Ferry Tour. A PGA of America Class A professional since 2007, he’s seen enough of the inside of golf’s commercial machine to know exactly what readers don’t get told. He still writes the hero reviews — drivers, irons, ball tests — and plays a minimum of 150 competitive rounds a year.
Expert Review Board
Technical content — biomechanics, fitting, instruction, rules — is reviewed before publication by a member of the board whose domain matches. Their initials appear in the article metadata.
Dr. Chen leads all biomechanics, motor learning, and injury-prevention content. Her PhD at Stanford focused on rotational power transfer in the golf swing; she’s published in the Journal of Biomechanics and the International Journal of Golf Science. She reviews every instruction article for technical accuracy and physical-safety implications.
Rob’s a PGA Master Professional — the highest teaching qualification in the British PGA — and served on the Ryder Cup staff in Paris 2018 and Rome 2023. He’s a Level 3 R&A rules official and reviews every rules-related piece on this site. Twenty-two years teaching across three continents.
Priya is a Titleist Performance Institute Master Fitter — the tier above Certified — with an eight-year residency at one of the UK’s largest indoor fitting facilities. Before that, she spent three seasons on the Club Car Tour as a rapid-response technician. She leads our club-fitting and shaft-matching content, and reviews every piece of equipment content for fitting accuracy.
Contributors & Regional Editors
Beyond the core five, we work with fourteen regular contributors across the US, UK, Ireland, and APAC. Each has their own bio page linked from their byline. Full list available in our Write for Us section.
How We Hire
We only commission writers with demonstrable credentials — a PGA certification, a coaching licence, a TPI qualification, documented tour or staff experience, or peer-reviewed academic publishing. “Keen amateur” doesn’t qualify, no matter how good the prose.
Every new writer passes:
- Credentials verification. We check PGA/LPGA/LET/R&A registrations directly against governing-body databases.
- Conflict-of-interest disclosure. Full written disclosure before first commission.
- A paid test commission. One article, reviewed by two editors and the relevant expert board member.
- Ongoing review. Performance reviewed quarterly; any sustained drop in accuracy leads to coaching or removal.
If you meet the bar and want to contribute, our Write for Us page lays out the brief.
